Job Title: Business Development Representative (BDR)
This position is an essential, strategic component of the Fide Freight Sales Team. The Business Development Rep (BDR) finds new and expands current business with companies that have shipping needs. The BDR provides frontline, outbound prospecting, lead generation, and follow up, clearly communicating Fide’s value to companies. A BDR will also provide resolution to customer issues and operational support through building carrier relationships and solving supply chain issues as they arise.
The ideal candidate is a motivated and business-minded professional who combines proven sales experience with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations. This individual thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment and is passionate about helping shippers, carriers, and customers solve complex transportation challenges through creative, service-focused solutions.

Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in sales or logistics
- Or
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.
About the Job:
First 30 Days:
- Get trained on the industry and Fide Freight’s systems. Learn how to properly qualify, source and engage cold leads through outbound selling efforts.
- Start making outbound customer calls to find new business and accounts
- Shadow fellow sales team members
- Attend weekly trainings to continuously learn and grow
60 Days:
- Strengthen your industry knowledge and sales skills through 1:1s
- Understand how to recognize and uncover larger opportunities
- Have a great understanding of Fide Freight’s systems and the sales cycle
90 Days:
- Be able to handle all operations tasks self sufficiently
- Be proficient at turning cold leads into freight moving clients

Key Competencies
- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in prospecting, lead generation, and closing business. Comfortable with outbound calls, client presentations, and long-term relationship building.
- Industry Knowledge: Foundational understanding of transportation modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal, etc.), rate structures, and market dynamics.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate value propositions and negotiate effectively.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify client pain points and develop tailored freight solutions that improve efficiency and cost savings.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, DAT, Etc.), TMS platforms, and digital freight tools.
- Resilience & Drive: Competitive spirit with a self-starter mentality—goal-oriented, persistent, and adaptable in a performance-based environment.
Compensation
- $45,000 during first 90 day training period
- Bump to $50,000 after 90 day training period day (91)
- 5% uncapped commission day 1
