Another sad story of someone who tried to send their hemp through USPS. A company in Elmwood was sending 400 lbs of hemp flower through the mail. According to USPS rules, they can ship the hemp as long as they have proper documentation showing the authenticity of the shipment. Unfortunately, Boyca the drug sniffing dog alerted the authorities of the suspicious shipments which came back hot. The manager of the company was charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
It is very frustrating to hear about hemp shipments that are getting seized. Even worse they are publicly labeled a criminal. Fide Freight is doing everything we can to do it right and prevent mix ups with law enforcement. We go above and beyond what is required by law to make sure your hemp shipment makes it to its final destination. Our cost is your peace of mind.
As we all know, hemp is 100% legal to ship according to the 2018 farm bill. However, we are faced with a daily challenge of proving the shipments are hemp. When law enforcement is in doubt and they test, it normally does not end well for the owner of the product. Please call us to make sure your shipment arrives on time and without “extra baggage”
